GENERAL INFORMATION


How do we get started?

Welcome to Hang Around Hound! The first step is to set up a profile for you and your pup!

  • Click the "Sign Up" Link in the top right corner of the home page. This link will be unavailable if we are not current accepting new clients. 
  • Please use your full name for your account username and a regularly checked email address. 
  • Fill out the profile  for yourself
  • Click the "Pets" tab in the navigation bar to add a pet.
  • Fill out one profile per pet. 
  • Request a Meet and Greet appointment! Requests can be made online or call/text
  • A confirmation e-mail should arrive within 24 hours. If we are unable to accommodate the chosen meet and greet time we will call or email you to reschedule.


Meet and Greets are an opportunity for us to get together and see if we are a good fit for each other. We welcome you and your dog into our facility to take a look around and after chat about your dogs specific needs and behaviors. Then we will introduce a few of our tester dogs to your dog. We are primarily looking for aggression towards us or our dogs. Meet and Greets are 30-60 minutes long. 


What are the requirements for my dog? 

  • All dogs are required to have vaccinations for:
    • Rabies
    • DHPP 
    • Bordatella  
  • We strongly advised dogs to also have Leptospirosis, and Canine Influenza vaccinations but they are not required.
  • All dogs should be neutered or spayed by 12 months of age. Some exemptions will be considered for breeder restrictions or health reasons but all dogs MUST be altered by 24 months of age. 
  • All dogs are required to be on a flea or tick repellent regiment.
  • We have no breed or size restrictions.  

Do I need an appointment?

Initial Meet and Greets require an appointment.


After a dog has been accepted at a client we will  prefer clients to request services through the online portal at least 24 hours in advance. We are able to accept walk-ins for most of the year but if you are unsure please call or text us. 

For extremely busy times it is best to get a Daycare and Boarding appointment in advance to secure a space. These time would include:

  • Summer (End of May - Early August)
  • Spring Break
  • Thanksgiving (Monday before to the Monday after)
  • Winter Holidays (Mid December to Mid-January.

Holidays such as Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years fill up extremely quickly sometimes months in advance. It is advised to request a stay during these holidays  two month in advance at minimum.  


How do I create a service request?

How can I cancel my service request?

Once a service request has been confirmed they can not longer be altered through the client portal. Please contact Hang Around Hound to make alterations or cancelations. We understand that sometimes life takes some unforeseen turns and for that reason we do not exercise a cancelation policy at this time. There are no fees for alterations and or cancelations. You will only be invoiced for services rendered.   


How can I pay my invoice?

Invoices are sent via e-mail after services are completed. An invoice with our pay portal link will be sent to the email for your account. 


Invoice can also be paid by logging on and clicking the invoices tab in your profile. 


How can I add a credit card to my account? 


My dog has separation anxiety, can they still come for Daycare or Boarding?

Yes! Hang Around Hound has staff on site 24/7 and dogs that have separation anxiety may sleep in our apartment above the daycare at night.


In some cases of separation anxiety, the pets owner is the focus in which case your dog may be uncomfortable in a daycare setting. We will notify the owner if this is the case and try to recommend possible training options. 


Do you offer walks? 

No. All services are with-in the daycare setting.
