Hang Around Hound is an all day open play facility. We have four different options for our four legged friends to hang out in; including the main room where they can rough house, the puppy room for the smaller, shy, or elderly dogs that just want a gentle interaction, the nap room where dogs can go if they become over stimulated and need their own space for a little while, and the kitchen where our dogs with separation anxiety, or first time jitters can have some devoted one on one until they get used to their surroundings. We are a relatively small location and only allow up to 30 dogs a day on the premise. We normally average about 15-20 a day.
With us your dog will ride in a well ventilated vehicle to one of San Francisco's many beautiful, dog-friendly parks. For safety and plenty of individual attention, our walkers walk not more then eight dogs at a time. We practice a mix of on leash training and off leash play to give each dog plenty of exercise and structure for the optimal pack experience.
I started on my dog walker path early in life, volunteering at animal shelters across Texas from sixth grade through college. I became a professional dog walker in 2010 and in 2016 I launched Hang Around Hound. Over the years I have developed my own perspectives on the lives and attitudes of our best friends. It is my belief that dogs want someone else to be in charge. Who wouldn't, if you could count on plenty of food, super fun activities, and someone to make sure you are absolutely, without exception safe, both mentally and physically? That is the feeling I like to instill in all the pups I work with. No matter what, they can count on me as a pack leader that will keep them happy, healthy, and safe. My favorite experience is working with dogs who are extremely shy or fearful and watching them come out of their shell during group with a pack they can trust
